The opportunity:
With a rich history serving their market, this established roofing business is combining a longstanding reputation with ambitious plans for its next chapter.

For a warehouse and logistics leader, this creates an opportunity to make a lasting impact. You’ll help build the processes, develop the team and strengthen the operations that support that growth,.

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you’ll have a clear mandate to bring more structure and accountability to inventory, material logistics, warehouse delivery fleet operations and the sheet metal shop. Your work will directly influence how efficiently crews receive materials, how accurately project costs are tracked and how effectively the business uses its existing resources.

If you enjoy taking ownership, solving operational problems and helping a team perform at its best, there is plenty here to get your teeth into.

The company:
Operating since 1914, this business offers the backing of an established name alongside the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change. With plans for further expansion, leadership is focused on building the people, processes and infrastructure needed for the future.

Culture matters here. They want someone who brings energy, takes pride in their work and can earn the respect of the warehouse team while building strong relationships with project managers and field leadership.

The role:
You’ll lead day-to-day warehouse operations, covering receiving, storage, staging, dispatch and the movement of materials, tools and equipment. Based in Hyattsville, you’ll coordinate shared resources across both locations, with potential visits to the Silver Spring site as needed.

A major priority will be improving inventory control. You’ll introduce consistent processes, strengthen material tracking and ensure existing stock is used effectively before additional purchases are made. Working closely with Project Managers and Accounting, you’ll help reduce waste, prevent duplicate purchasing and improve job costing accuracy.

Your remit will also include the sheet metal shop, warehouse delivery vehicles and material handling equipment, ensuring resources are maintained, safely operated and available when needed.

Alongside this, you’ll coach and develop warehouse personnel, set clear expectations and build a team that takes ownership of safety, organization and performance. You’ll identify opportunities to improve layouts, systems and workflows as the business grows.

What you’ll bring:
At least five years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience, including two years supervising teams. Construction or roofing experience is preferred, alongside strong inventory management, logistics and process improvement skills.

You’ll be comfortable using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office, have forklift operating experience and hold a valid driver’s license. Spanish fluency would be an advantage but is not essential.

Above all, you’ll be someone who can turn plans into consistent daily habits, bring people with you and keep operations moving.
